This startup has developed software to help people make better decisions faster.

We live in the era of unlimited information. With Google and a mobile phone anyone has access to all the information available in the world today. That’s pretty remarkable.

But just having access to a firehose of information doesn’t automatically mean we make better decisions. Sometimes we have so much information we get stuck in analysis paralysis. Or we spend all day doing searches and trying to figure out how to separate the meaningful information from the irrelevant data or outright misinformation. So having the information is great, but what we really want is to make better decisions faster.

A new startup, Oogway, has developed a decision engine that uses AI and social signals to help you do just that. Let’s say you’re looking to buy a new mountain bike. The Oogway engine will ask you a few questions and then it will scour the internet for reviews and for social signals such as likes and shares from people like you, and then will give you a summary of what it’s found.

Think of Oogway as your personalized AI platform to make decisions. It will help you to discover, filter, and evaluate information so that you can make better decisions.

AI has been around as a concept for a long time, but we’re just now seeing nice, practical use cases for ordinary consumers. Oogway is an excellent example, as their platform is being deployed as a personalized digital assistant for all your decisions.
